"If you stumble. Make it part of the dance."

Growing up in a rural town country music was an important part of the community. John Michael Montgomery came out with a song in 1992 called "Life's a Dance." I really love this song. There are sooo many great lessons in the lyrics (I am a lyrical person, music should have meanings). The song talks about things changing swiftly and that there is a time and place to talk and to listen.

My favorite part of the song really is the concept that we don't have all things figured out it's a learned process along the way. We are not born knowing everything no matter if we had a healthy upbringing. Life has a way of throwing curve balls our way and throwing our lives off kilter providing a learning experience. Sometimes some of us freeze our of fear for not knowing what we should do. Remember though life is something we learn how to cope with along the way.

So give yourself some grace and know that when we make mistakes we can feel all our emotions and then get up and try again. Mistakes and failures are not to be feared but can be embraced. We tried and most people do not succeed on the first try. So identify what you can learn from the experience and then try again.
