You are truly not the only One.

"Anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you." - MISTY COPELAND

Our brain likes to play this trick on us to have us believe that we are the only ones that are going through which ever experience we are currently having. The reality is that many people have had similar experience to the ones we have had. This is called universality and it is helpful so that we don't feel alone.

It can be hard to open up to others and share our struggles because it makes us vulnerable and open to being judged. So of course it is important to judge our audience and assess whether those individuals are safe for us to communicate to. Once we have assessed that then we can open up and share our experience. People may surprise you and share their similar experience which in the end will help you feel that you are not the odd man out.
